A Canadian of Haitian origin, Rouvio St-Jean published his first novel, Parlez-moi d'amour in 1995, his second novel, Neige au soleil in 2006, an essay, Il était un temps: Gonaïves in 2007, the biography of his wife, Yvette Thibodeau: Her biography and her photo album in 2008, and a play, À soir ça va sauter.
