Yvette Thibodeau was born on August 1, 1957 in Montreal. She spent part of her youth in this city before moving with her parents to Laval at the age of 16. After completing her studies, at 18 she entered the job market as a civil servant at the Montreal registration office, which later became the Montreal public rights office. This position, which was her very first, she would hold for over 30 years. She was preparing to retire at the beginning of 2011, but diagnosed with skin cancer on April 1, 2008, she passed away on May 31. ROUVIO ST-JEAN 2008
Born in Haiti on January 3, 1942 and living in Montreal for over 35 years, Rouvio St-Jean studied anthropology and sociology. He published his first novel, Parlez-moi d'amour in 1995, his second novel, Neige au soleil in 2006, his essay, Il fut un temps : Gonaïves in 2007, a play À soir ça va sauter, and now the biography of his late wife Yvette Thibodeau.
