Tales of a multifaceted life I
" My dear Enice, what I am feeling, is the need to talk, to tell your story to people who barely know you and to those with whom you live on a daily basis, and to those who do not even know you. The manner in which you described your childhood is wonderful. There does not seem to be much that you have left out. We get the impression that you are transmitting a message without telling others what to do. Without a doubt the people who will have the privilege of reading your autobiography will be able to step back into their past while questioning themselves. There is no age limit to question ourselves, everyone has the possibility to do so." — Gerda C.
Written from 1989 to 1999, this book relates the memories of Enice, a simple woman with a big heart who journeyed through the first 50 years of her life haphazardly. Experiencing a life of meetings, of travels, and also of joys, while holding on to a faith and a sense of family which have become scarce in this day an age.
I look at myself in a mirror and I tell myself: «Is it possible that this story belongs to me? Is it me who lived all of this? Is it me who has lived this existence, made up of so many changes that it seems as if I have already lived twelve lives? Who am I really? Is you Enice, the naive little girl, Enice the troubled adolescent or Enice the loving woman, the submissive, or Enice the stranger, delinquent. traveler, strong, who sometimes does not control herself anymore?» Well, yes! This story is mine, it is in me and I wrote it like I lived it.
